Stronger workflow enforcements for program enrollments
Before you can add services for a family or exit them from a program, you must now complete the post-enrollment form (page two of the enrollment). This ensures every program record has the data it needs — and keeps your reporting accurate.
Multi-member online intake
Families can now add multiple household members directly through the online intake form — no more entering each person one by one on your end. Once submitted, the full household appears in External Contacts for you to review and approve all at once.
What this does
- Saves time on data entry
- Reduces duplicate work
- Gets families closer to enrollment-ready from the start
How to turn it on
- Go to Setup Forms and enable the "Online Intake: Multi-Member Family" form
- Share that link with families

New "Training" label for test data
You can now mark contacts as Training to keep test data out of your reports. Apply the label to any contact from their contact record — those contacts will be excluded from reporting starting with the next daily refresh.
Use this when practicing workflows or testing new features so your reporting stays clean and accurate. Watch the video →

Email notifications for reminders
Family Link now sends a confirmation email when a reminder is scheduled — by you or by the app. The email includes the date and reason for the reminder, so nothing gets lost between when a reminder is set and when it's due.
More control over your notification settings
Notification settings have been expanded in two ways. First, program enrollments and services are now separate toggles — you can opt into one without the other. Second, case managers and admins can now opt into affiliate-wide notifications, which send an email any time an enrollment, exit, or service is recorded anywhere in your affiliate — not just on your own caseload. These settings are available in Family Link, the Admin App, and the National Admin App. Admins can also manage notification settings on behalf of their users.
Note: Affiliate-wide notifications are available to case managers, affiliate admins, executive directors, and a few other roles. Intake assistants and direct case managers are not eligible.

Safety concerns are now flagged automatically at intake
When a client answers "Yes" to the safety question during rapid intake, Family Link automatically applies the Unsafe/Threatened label to their contact record. No action needed — the label appears as soon as the form is saved, at the top of the contact record where staff see it immediately.
This works for both in-app intake and online rapid intake. For online submissions, the label is applied on our end — clients never see it.

Note: This is a global label. It can't be deleted from your label settings, but a case manager can remove it from an individual contact record if needed.
Safety and duplicate flags now visible in external contacts
External contact records submitted via the online intake form now show visual flags before you approve them. A red flag appears when the client's safety response was "Yes." A separate icon marks potential duplicates. Both are visible in the external contacts list so staff can review before acting.
Affiliate admins can now review funding requests
Affiliate admins designated as funding request approvers can now access and review pending requests directly in the Admin App — even without access to the main Family Link app. Previously, they'd receive an approval email but had no way to act on it.
Their view is scoped to pending requests only. Full funding management is only available if that module is enabled for your affiliate.

Referral replies now go directly to the case manager
When Family Link sends a community partner referral by email, the reply-to address is now set to the case manager's email. If a partner replies with a question, it lands in the right inbox — not a no-reply address.
Completed reminders are now visible in your reminders list
The reminders view now shows your full history, including completed reminders. You no longer lose track of what's been done. If your list gets too long to manage, reach out to support.
Referral source dropdown updated
The "How were you referred to Family Promise?" dropdown has two changes: Government / Social Services Agency has been added as a network-wide option, and CPS has been removed from the Justice System category. These updates reflect how affiliates are actually using the field across the network.

Form simplification — major update
A 20% reduction in time to complete intake, demographics, enrollment, and exit forms — shaped by input from 22 Affiliates and reviewed during an open comment period.
Rapid intake
- Several fields now optional: translation assistance, zip code, number of children
- Intake date changed from required to optional
- Removed: former/maiden name, phone type, marital status
- Household type expanded — multi-generational, two-parent household added
- "Do you feel unsafe?" now includes: client refused, client doesn't know, data not collected
- Referral sources updated and expanded
Demographics
- Race/ethnicity: multi-select → single select, with biracial/multiracial option added
- New optional field: sexual orientation (adult intake only)
- Permission to collect personal info no longer required for additional family members
- Custody arrangement description changed from required to optional
Enrollment & exit
- Stabilization fields now required at both enrollment and exit — intentionally not pre-populated
- School stability now applies to all children
- Eviction prevention: removed landlord address and "eviction in past 7 years"
- Credit score question removed from program exit
Heads up: stabilization fields at enrollment and exit are the biggest workflow change. You'll need to make an active selection — they won't carry forward from previous entries. This is intentional: we want to measure real change over time.
New role: intake assistant
Limits access to contact demographics, enrollment, and exit data — right-sized for staff who only handle initial intake.
New role: direct case manager
Limits contact visibility to only the families assigned to that case manager.
Fund management
Establish, draw against, manage, and report on funding sources directly in Family Link.
Online rapid intake
Families can now be referred and entered into your system through an online intake form.
